Travel in Style Essex is not a fleet operation. There is one chauffeur — Jamie Gifford — who prepares every vehicle, holds every schedule, and conducts every journey personally.

I came to this profession the way most things in life worth doing are arrived at — through someone who showed me how it ought to be done. For twenty-three years I worked in the family plumbing business. Steady work, honest work — but not, in the end, my work.
The driving had always been the thing I loved. My uncle ran a chauffeur company, and from a young age I worked alongside him on weddings, proms, and the moments families remember for the rest of their lives. He had a way with people, and a standard he held to without ever needing to mention it. That is what I learned from him.
When he passed, I knew I wanted to carry the work forward. In 2023 I purchased Travel in Style Essex from its former owner — a company first established in 2019, and the reason the registration plate reads Y19 TSE. The year of its founding, and the initials of what we are.

Discretion begins with trust, and trust is earned in writing. Every credential below is current and available for inspection on request.
Enhanced DBS check, full clearance. Issued and maintained current — the standard expected of anyone entrusted with families, children, and confidential engagements.
Fully PCO licensed and comprehensively insured for private hire. Documentation provided on request for corporate and event bookings.
RoSPA and advanced-driver trained. The car is driven the way the cabin is presented — with composure, never hurry, and a margin held in reserve.
An NDA is available on request. What is discussed in the cabin, and who is collected from where, remains entirely private.

Rob & Rylan's Grand Tour — recipients of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts award for Factual Entertainment — entrusted us with the evening. The award itself travelled in the V-Class cabin.
And when a long day at Wembley ended for one party returning from the Taylor Swift concert, the brief was simple: be there early, be comfortable, and take the strain out of a very long, very hot evening. We were — and they have booked again since.
These are the engagements the work is for. Not the miles, but the moments — the ones a family remembers, and the ones a guest of honour ought never to have to think about.
