I came to this profession the way most things in life worth doing are arrived at — through someone who showed me how it ought to be done.
For twenty-three years I worked in the family plumbing business. Steady work, honest work — but not, in the end, my work. The driving had always been the thing I loved. My uncle ran a chauffeur company, and from a young age I worked alongside him on weddings, proms, and the moments families remember for the rest of their lives. He had a way with people, and a standard he held to without ever needing to mention it. That is what I learned from him.
When he passed, I knew I wanted to carry the work forward. In 2023 I purchased Travel in Style Essex from its former owner — a company first established in 2019, and the reason the registration plate reads Y19 TSE. The year of its founding, and the initials of what we are.
I now do a job I truly love and feel I am perfect for. Every journey is mine personally — the route considered, the vehicle prepared, the schedule held to the minute. When you reserve with TISE, you are not booking a service. You are entrusting a moment of your day to a man who treats it accordingly.

Where in Essex are you based?
Travel in Style Essex is based in Laindon, near Basildon, and serves the wider Essex region — including Brentwood, Billericay, Chelmsford, Colchester, Southend-on-Sea, Maldon, and the surrounding villages — alongside transfers throughout London and beyond.
How early should I book?
For airport transfers and weekday engagements, we recommend at least 48 hours' notice. Weddings and weekend evening bookings should be reserved two to three weeks in advance. Shorter notice is often accommodated by arrangement — a brief conversation will confirm what is possible.
What is included in your airport transfer price?
Every airport transfer includes live flight tracking, meet-and-greet, parking for the driver, and luggage assistance. There are no hidden charges for waiting time on delayed arrivals or for specific terminals. The quoted price is the complete cost of the journey.
Do you offer wedding chauffeur services?
Yes — wedding chauffeur arrangements are a regular and considered part of our work. Each wedding is quoted personally to suit the day, the venue, and the party. The Mercedes-Benz V-Class accommodates up to seven passengers; the S-Class is preferred for the bride and groom.
What vehicles are in your fleet?
Three vehicles, all Mercedes-Benz: the V-Class (up to 7 passengers, our flagship), the S-Class (executive saloon, up to 4 passengers), and the E-Class (executive saloon, up to 4 passengers). Each is maintained personally and presented to a single standard.
Are you available 24 hours a day?
Yes. We operate 24 hours, 365 days a year. Late-night returns, early-morning collections, and overnight engagements are all standard. There is no unsocial-hours surcharge on advance bookings.
